An excellent read!!! and a bit of a surprise. When I first picked up the book I thought I knew what to expect, a pretty standard account of Manchester in the 80's/90's drugs, crime, violence etc, entertaining read but something that I've read about before, sort of thing. So what started out as a book to read on the way to work, 30 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes in the evening, turned into a book I would read for 30 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes in the evening, 1 hour at lunch time, sneak in a bit when no ones looking in-between breaks, kind a thing! It's a real page turner. The honest style of the writing really helps you relate to the characters, I got completely lost in the story and it gives you a real insight about what life could be like in that era. Can't wait for the next installment!!!
